Eligibility:
- You must have held your car Licence (min. Red P Plates) for a period of 12 months before upgrading to an MR Licence.
- You must have completed the Heavy Vehicle theory test with the Department of Transport, which can be done before, or on the day of your practical driving test.

Result:
After passing the practical driving test, you will end up with a MR (Condition B) Synchro Licence. You will be able to drive a truck, van or bus (including a prime mover or a mobile crane) over 8t GVM with a maximum of 2 axles (1 at rear) and you are also permitted to tow a trailer with a maximum weight of 9t GVM.

Types of Licences:
- Heavy Rigid (HRA): Condition A - Automatic Gearboxes Only
- Heavy Rigid (HRB): Condition B - Synchromesh (Single Clutch, same as a Manual Car) and Automatic Gearboxes Only

Result:
After passing the practical driving test, you will end up with a HR Licence. The type of Licence (Condition A or B) you will receive will depend on the type you had previously. Our trucks are Automatic and Synchromesh, so if you have done your Car Licence in a manual or if you pass your test in the synchromesh truck, you will be automatically upgraded to a Condition B HR Licence. If you have done your Car Licence in an Automatic, you will receive a Condition A HR Licence.
You will be able to drive a truck, van or bus (including a prime mover, mobile crane or an articulated bus) over 8t GVM with 2 or more axles and you are also permitted to tow a trailer with a maximum weight of 9t GVM.

You will be able to drive a truck, van or bus (including a prime mover, mobile crane or an articulated bus) over 8t GVM with 2 or more axles and you are also permitted to tow a trailer with a maximum weight of 9t GVM.

MR/HR to HC (Heavy Combination) in an Automatic Truck and Trailer

Course In a Day Inclusions (MR/HR - HC Upgrade):
- 4 Hours of Training + 1 Hour Test
- Department of Transport Booking Fee

Eligibility:
- You must have held your MR or HR Licence for a period of 12 months before upgrading to a HC Licence.
- If you have an Unrestricted HR License, you can do your training and test using this package in the Automatic Truck and still be upgraded to an Unrestricted HC License (meaning you will have a HC license with no truck gear box restrictions).
- If you have a HR (Condition B) license and complete your training/test using this package in the Automatic Truck you will receive a HC (Condition B) License that restricts you to driving Heavy Combinations in an Automatic or Synchromesh Geared Truck only.

- 9 Hours of Training + 1.5 Hour Test
